VFX SUPERVISOR MARTIN LIPMANN JOINS FRONTIER

NEWS

Frontier VFX is thrilled to welcome Martin Lipmann as VFX Supervisor.

Starting out in the busy Paris music video production industry, followed by stops in London, Adelaide and Istanbul, Martin found a home in Quebec in 2005.

In the years since, the Quebec VFX industry has seen Martin lend his talents to countless productions both in-studio and most recently as a freelance Production VFX Supervisor.

Joining Frontier was an opportunity that allowed Martin to achieve the work-life balance he was afforded as a freelancer, while providing the chance to work on large-scale productions remotely.

“The excitement of fairly uncharted territory and exploring new things is something I’m looking for at this stage of my career, and the way the team at Frontier is working fits that brief,” Martin says, with a nod to Frontier’s work on the NetFX platform and expertise in remote work. “I like new, and I’m not scared of new”.

Martin cites Race (2016) as his proudest VFX Supervisor credit, highlighting the historical importance of the film, the opportunity to film on location in Quebec and Germany, and how “the team became like a family”.

In addition, Martin has lent his talents to some of the most popular features and series of the last ten years including Deadpool, Watchmen and The Gray Man.

According to Martin, camaraderie is one of the pillars of successful VFX work and he’s encountered that in abundance since joining Frontier.

The Frontier VFX team could not be prouder to welcome Martin to the team!
